About the Job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team on a temporary basis. The primary focus of this assignment will be to help clear a backlog of accounting transactions, reconcile outstanding balances and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.

Duties will include:

• Processing outstanding purchase invoices and resolving discrepancies.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating aged balances.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reviewing and clearing historic accounting entries and outstanding queries.
• Performing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Supporting the finance team with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Liaising with internal departments and suppliers to resolve outstanding issues.
• Assisting with general accounting administration and ad hoc finance tasks.

About the Successful Applicant

You will have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role and be confident using Excel and accounting systems, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding queries efficiently
