This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills, and enjoys being at the heart of a school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organise Annual Review and EHCP meetings, including preparing reports, distributing documentation, taking minutes, and ensuring paperwork is completed and circulated accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain Behaviour Watch records and complete accident reporting documentation in line with school procedures.
  • Provide reception cover when required, welcoming visitors, managing enquiries, and maintaining school security protocols.
  • Assist with arranging classroom cover and supporting wider administrative functions during staff absence.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post and maintain accurate pupil and staff records using the school's management information system.
  • Support the administration of new pupil admissions and leavers, ensuring records are maintained and transferred appropriately.
  • Order resources and equipment, process deliveries, and distribute items across the school.
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, typing, email management, website updates, and maintaining school calendars.
  • Liaise with external agencies and health services to arrange appointments and support student needs.
  • Attend and minute meetings, including leadership, staff, and governor meetings.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems such as Integris.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively to a team.
  • A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and supporting the wider school community.
