Qualified Architect – heritage and conservation: AABC accredited

Our client is a well established architectural practice based in Oxfordshire; their clients’ work consist of new buildings, heritage / conservation, refurbishment, alterations and other construction projects.

As the successful candidate you will have experience of heritage projects and can work on the repair and survey of historic buildings.

You will be a qualified Architect, ideally with the AABC accredited and specific Conservation experience - AABC accreditation certifying architects are competent in the conservation, repair and adaptation of historic buildings; maintained by the Register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC).

Responsibilities as an Architect:

• Preparing and presenting design proposals, including detailed drawings of renovations and restorations
• Experience of heritage projects and that can work on the repair and survey of historic buildings
• Meeting with construction professionals and clients to discuss feasibility of designs
• Reviewing local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints
• Creating detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects
• Specifying the materials needed for construction of projects
• Working with computer-aided design software to create blueprints and images
• Working with contractors, surveyors and building service engineers to create a construction schedule and Coordinating work between various contractors
• Construction drawing capabilities - construction of buildings to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay on budget and adhere to the original vision for the design

Software:

• Working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project
