Legacy Group Consultancy is partnering with a leading employment and skills provider that is building a new team of IPS Employment Specialists in Leicester.

You'll work directly with people experiencing mental-health challenges and other barriers to employment, helping them identify what they want from work, connect with the right employers and move into meaningful, sustainable paid employment.

Using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, you'll take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, focusing on what someone can do, their aspirations and the opportunities available to them.

We're interested in people who understand people, employment and relationships and most importantly - PASSION

You may already work in employability, careers, recruitment, employer engagement, community services or another role supporting people towards positive outcomes.

If you're brilliant at building relationships, motivated by helping people progress and comfortable working towards outcomes, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• You'll manage a caseload of approximately 20–25 participants, getting to know their strengths, aspirations, skills and individual support needs.
• You'll help participants with job searching, CVs, applications and interview preparation and the role goes much further than that.
• A big part of your role will be getting out there andbuilding relationships with employers across Leicester and the surrounding areas, identifying opportunities that genuinely match your participants rather than simply placing people into any available job.
• You'll also support employers around inclusive recruitment, reasonable adjustments, flexible working and tailored employment opportunities.
• Once somebody starts work, your relationship doesn't simply end.
• You'll continue supporting both the participant and employer, helping overcome early challenges, supporting workplace adjustments and ultimately helping people sustain and progress in employment.
• You'll also work closely with organisations including NHS services, Talking Therapies, Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, VCSE organisations and community partners, ensuring participants receive joined-up support.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in people who have experience of:

• Supporting people into employment, training or education
• Working with people who face barriers to employment, including mental-health challenges, disability or long-term unemployment
• Building strong relationships with people from different backgrounds
• Managing a caseload or busy workload
• Working independently while being part of a wider team
• Using CRM/database systems and maintaining accurate records

Experience within IPS itself is desirable rather than essential, so don't rule yourself out simply because you've never held the title “IPS Employment Specialist.” IPS Employment Specialist JD

We're looking for someone who is person-centred, resilient, organised, positive and genuinely motivated by helping people into employment.

Experience within employer engagement or a target-driven environment would also be valuable.
