We're working with a growing boutique law firm with a busy real estate practice. They’re looking for someone to work closely with the COLP and MLRO on day-to-day compliance and take the lead on building a file audit programme, handling AML and source of funds queries and more
The Role?
• Set up and run regular file audits, including reviewing consultant files, recording findings and following up on actions. • Carry out AML and client due diligence checks across residential and commercial property matters. • Advise fee earners on source of funds and source of wealth, including what evidence to ask for and when to escalate. • Respond to day-to-day compliance queries from partners, fee earners and consultants. • Use audit findings and recurring queries to improve procedures, guidance and training.
About you?
• You have hands-on law firm compliance experience, ideally with exposure to conveyancing or commercial property. • You’re comfortable advising on AML, CDD, source of funds and source of wealth. • You’ve carried out file reviews or audits and are ready to take ownership of how they’re run. • You’re confident working with partners and fee earners and can explain what’s needed to move a matter forward.
What's in it for you?
• Take ownership of designing and running the firm’s file audit programme. • Work closely with the COLP and MLRO and learn from them on day-to-day compliance matters. • Get hands-on exposure to a mix of residential and commercial real estate work. • Use your audit findings to improve guidance and training across the firm.
