Customer Service Administrator – Temp to Perm
£26,000 – £28,000 | Full time, office based | Doncaster

Are you sharp, proactive and the kind of person who gets things done without being chased? We’re working with a well-established business that needs a switched-on Customer Service Administrator to join its team on a temp to perm basis. You’ll be a key point of contact for customers and play a big part in keeping orders moving.

The role

• Handling customer queries by phone and email in a friendly, professional way
• Chasing orders and deliveries so customers are kept up to date
• Checking stock availability and pricing
• Processing orders through a digital EDI system, including converting email orders onto the system. No orders are taken over the phone.
• Supporting export orders and paperwork. There’s currently no back-up in this area, so any export experience would be a real advantage.
• Giving some first-line technical support to customers - training will be provided
• Helping to streamline processes and improve reporting, including using AI tools where they make life easier
• Being part of the team’s succession planning, so there’s real scope to develop

What we’re looking for

• Previous customer service or sales/order admin experience
• Someone who’s on it: organised, quick to pick things up and happy to use their initiative
• Confident on the phone and by email
• Good IT skills, and comfortable learning new systems
• Export or shipping experience would be a big plus
• SAP experience would be a bonus, but full training is provided

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch.
Once you’re trained, you’ll join a rota covering an 8:00am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm shift once every 4 weeks.
