We are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established, family-run prestige and luxury car dealership in Sidcup, Kent. With over 40 years of automotive experience and an excellent reputation across the UK and international markets, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to support continued business growth. This Management Accountant opportunity offers a commercially focused finance professional the chance to work closely with Directors, site management and operational teams, providing accurate financial insight and supporting key business decisions. Benefits: Salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience 30 days’ holiday Bonus potential Company pension scheme 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday Flexible start and finish times Potential for one day per week working from home following successful completion of probation Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within an established and growing automotive businessDuties: As Management Accountant, prepare monthly management accounts, financial information and KPI reports Monitor expenditure and performance against budgets, investigating variances Prepare weekly, quarterly and ad hoc profit and cash flow forecasts Support working capital management, vehicle funding arrangements and cash flow planning Manage VAT returns, NOVA submissions and bank reconciliations Reconcile nominal ledger, debtor, creditor and control accounts Maintain accurate prepayment, accrual and fixed asset records Analyse vehicle stock, margins and associated costs Assist with budgets, forecasts and statutory year-end accounts Liaise with external auditors and maintain supporting schedules Attend management meetings and provide clear financial recommendations Identify opportunities to improve procedures, internal controls and reporting systemsRequirements: Previous experience as a Management Accountant, Motor Trade Accountant or Assistant Accountant A minimum of two years’ Motor Trade experience is preferred Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports Excellent reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills Knowledge of working capital management, vehicle stock accounting and margin analysis Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines Clear communication skills and confidence explaining financial information Experience with an automotive Dealer Management System is advantageous Familiarity with Xero or Sage is beneficialThis Management Accountant role would suit a proactive finance professional seeking career development within the automotive industry.
