Production Controller

Shillito Group are recruiting for a Production Controller to join a busy manufacturing business specialising in high-performance metals supplied into the Oil & Gas, Energy and Engineering sectors.

You'll be working closely with Operations Management to keep subcontract machining work organised, on schedule and meeting deadlines.

We're looking for someone who understands a manufacturing environment, can manage competing priorities and isn't afraid to get involved.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing production schedules and subcontract machining workloads.

• Prioritising jobs to ensure production deadlines are met.

• Planning ahead to make sure the right resources are available.

• Working closely with Operations Management to monitor workloads and performance.

• Keeping production moving and identifying potential delays.

What we're looking for:

• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• An understanding of machining would be advantageous.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances would be beneficial.

• Someone proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Package:

• £30k plus options of overtime

You don't need to be a machining expert, but an understanding of how a busy engineering environment operates would certainly help.
