Senior Electrical Estimator – M&E SSA are recruiting a Senior Electrical Estimator on behalf of a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering CAT A, CAT B, and Shell & Core projects. You will lead the preparation of competitive electrical tenders, ensuring estimates accurately reflect project scope, technical requirements, and commercial risks. Key responsibilities * Prepare detailed electrical estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions. * Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities. * Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and full scope coverage. * Develop labour, material, and equipment costs, clearly identifying assumptions, qualifications, and exclusions. * Attend tender reviews, respond to clarifications, and support negotiations and handover to delivery teams. * Provide guidance to junior estimators and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships. Requirements * Proven electrical estimating experience within M&E contracting, with the ability to manage tenders independently. * Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, small power, and associated building services systems. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. * Experience using estimating software and Excel to produce accurate, detailed cost breakdowns. * Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills. * Relevant electrical qualification or equivalent trade experience
