Site Engineer – Highways – Sizewell C Location: Sizewell, Suffolk Contract: Long-term IR35: Inside IR35 We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and infrastructure project supporting Sizewell C in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong highways or heavy civils background to work on a significant UK infrastructure programme. The role will involve supporting the delivery of highways works, ensuring activities are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with design requirements and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Setting out for highways and associated civil engineering works Carrying out site surveys, levels and as-built records Completing and managing QA documentation Reviewing drawings and identifying technical issues Supporting ITPs, RAMS and site documentation Coordinating with site management, subcontractors and other engineering teams Monitoring works against design specifications and programme requirements Ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality are maintained Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site Requirements Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects Strong setting-out and surveying capability Experience with roads, drainage, earthworks and associated infrastructure Good understanding of QA and site engineering documentation Confident interpreting engineering drawings CSCS card Relevant Civil Engineering qualification, such as HNC, HND or degree Experience with a Tier 1 or major civil engineering contractor would be advantageous The Opportunity This is a long-term contract position working Inside IR35 on a major infrastructure scheme at Sizewell C.
