We are currently working in partnership with a leading transport operator based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Receptionist on a 16-month fixed term contract, covering a secondment. The salary is £35,700 and the role will be based on site in the Birmingham city centre office.

The ideal candidate will have previous reception or administrative experience, strong organisational skills, and a professional, customer-focused manner.

Duties will include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and colleagues, delivering a professional and welcoming reception service
• Managing incoming calls, emails, post, and enquiries, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and professionally
• Coordinating meeting room bookings, visitor arrangements, and general office administration to support smooth day-to-day operations
• Maintaining office supplies, facilities, and administrative systems, ensuring the workplace remains organised and well-equipped
• Processing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications, supporting effective office and facilities management
• Supporting health and safety, employee events, and wider business initiatives to enhance workplace experience

Experience required:

• Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, customer service, or administrative role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with visitors, colleagues, and external stakeholders
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience coordinating office administration, facilities, or meeting arrangements would be advantageous

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, or 8:45-16:45
