We’re recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer at their Haverhill site. You’ll be joining an established engineering team within a stable, well-invested manufacturing environment. This is a varied Maintenance Engineer role covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, breakdowns and planned maintenance across a busy production site. What you’ll be doing As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for keeping production machinery running safely and reliably. You’ll be: * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment * Responding to breakdowns and getting machinery back up and running * Fault finding across production machinery, control systems and ancillary equipment * Identifying ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime * Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects * Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and to site standards * Working alongside the wider engineering and production teams What we’re looking for We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer who has: * NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent * Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience * Experience within manufacturing, production or a similar fast-paced environment * Strong fault-finding and breakdown skills * A good understanding of health and safety * Experience with lean manufacturing or TPM would be beneficial * Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification would be advantageous, but isn't essential What’s on offer * £52,000 salary * 4 on 4 off DAYS * 05:30–17:30 * No night shifts * 8% employer pension contribution * Long-term stability * Well-invested manufacturing site * Progression opportunities within the engineering team Location: Haverhill, Suffolk Job: Maintenance Engineer Salary: £52,000 Shift: 4 on 4 off days – 05:30–17:30 If you’re a Maintenance Engineer looking for a strong salary, days-only shifts and a long-term opportunity with an established manufacturer, apply today
