Legal Secretary- Immediate (Must be available for Temping Immediately)

Location: Canary Wharf, East London (E14)
Salary: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Flexible Working: Full-time preferred, with part-time applicants also considered

The Opportunity

An established law firm specialising in employment and discrimination law is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy and friendly team based in East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with previous legal administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting fee earners across a varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners
• Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal correspondence and documents
• Creating and managing legal bundles for court hearings and client meetings
• Opening and maintaining client files in line with compliance procedures
• Managing diaries, appointments and meeting schedules
• Liaising with clients, courts, barristers and external parties
• Handling incoming correspondence, emails and post
• Updating and maintaining case management systems
• Supporting with document filing, scanning and archiving
• Assisting with general office administration as required

Person Specification

• Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator
• Strong understanding of legal processes and case management
• Experience preparing legal bundles and court documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Experience using legal case management systems such as Quill, LEAP, SOS or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and client service abilities
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
