Associate Strategy Director, B2B Technology, AI Product Development

An Associate Strategy Director opportunity has opened up at a growing specialist consultancy working with some of the world's most recognisable technology brands. Could this be your chance to lead high-stakes client engagements, shape a business at a pivotal moment in its growth, and accelerate your path to Director level?

The Role

The Associate Strategy Director will take full ownership of client engagements from initial architecture through to final recommendations, working alongside senior leadership on decisions that determine how major technology businesses compete and invest. You will define the analytical direction for each project, guide and develop the consultants working alongside you, and draw multiple workstreams into a single, commercially grounded narrative that clients can act on with confidence. You will contribute meaningfully to shaping and pricing proposals, identifying follow-on opportunities, and helping build an AI-enabled product the business is actively developing. This is a position for someone who thrives in complexity, earns trust quickly at a senior level, and is motivated as much by the rigour of the thinking as by the outcome it produces.

The Company

This is a boutique consultancy with a strong reputation for pairing deep human understanding with sharp commercial judgement. Working with large, global clients across the technology sector, the business is entering a significant growth phase and seeking senior talent who want to help shape what it becomes. The team is close-knit, holds itself to a high standard, and values people who are as invested in the quality of the work as in the success of their clients. It operates on a hybrid basis from a London office with an international client base, primarily in the US.

What experience does the Associate Strategy Director need?

• At least eight years in management consultancy, strategic research or strategic design, with a demonstrable record leading complete client engagements across B2B and B2C technology contexts and carrying accountability for scope, budget and margin throughout.
• The ability to turn an ambiguous business challenge into a sound research framework, drawing on deep qualitative expertise and confident direction of quantitative workstreams, with sound judgement when evidence conflicts or the method needs revisiting.
• A track record of constructing and communicating a clear commercial argument, owning the narrative from insight through to recommendation, and engaging senior client stakeholders through both constructive challenge and demanding moments.
• Direct involvement in developing AI-enabled tools, products or services, including testing and refining them through active use and helping teams or clients embed them beyond a single project; coding capability is a welcome addition.

Benefits

• Bonus scheme that typically delivers 20 to 30% of salary in a strong year, rising to 40 to 50% for stand-out individual performance.
• Employee equity participation with the potential for annual dividends, giving you a direct stake in the results you help produce.
• Private medical cover through Bupa, company pension, 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off each year.
• A dedicated learning budget, access to leading AI tools and platforms, and direct mentoring from the founding leadership team.
