Support Worker Section 7 (2) b & e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 apply to this role (Female Applicants Only) Location: Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 Salary: £26,064–£27,617 per annum Contract: Permanent About the Role We are recruiting a compassionate and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join a seven-room specialist residential service supporting individuals with complex learning and physical disabilities. You will provide person-centred care, promoting independence, communication and wellbeing while helping residents enjoy fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities * Provide personal care and daily living support. * Assist with medication and household tasks. * Support individuals with complex needs and disabilities. * Encourage communication using specialist aids and techniques. * Support outings, social activities and community involvement. * Follow positive behaviour support strategies. * Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing. Requirements * Previous experience in a care setting is essential. * Understanding of positive behaviour support. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Caring, patient and proactive attitude. * Flexibility to work rota-based shifts, Monday to Sunday. * Ability to travel to Jesmond.
