SEND Teaching Assistant – Personal Care & Learning Support | Keighley The Supply Register | Beckfoot Phoenix | Daily Supply, Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities The Supply Register is working in partnership with Beckfoot Phoenix in Keighley to recruit caring, patient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants and Personal Care Support Assistants to support pupils within this specialist school setting. We have a range of day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities available. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience supporting children and young people with complex special educational needs, physical disabilities, communication difficulties and personal care requirements. You will play an important role in supporting pupils' educational, physical, social and emotional development, helping them access learning while maintaining their dignity, comfort and independence. The Role – SEND & Personal Care Support You will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include: Supporting pupils with personal care, including toileting, changing, hygiene and dressing. Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND and complex needs. Supporting pupils with autism (ASC), communication difficulties, learning disabilities and physical needs. Assisting with classroom activities, sensory activities and individual learning programmes. Promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing and positive relationships throughout the school day. What We're Looking For We are looking for compassionate, reliable and resilient individuals who are comfortable supporting pupils with additional and personal care needs. Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker. Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs, disabilities or personal care requirements. Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting, changing and hygiene support. A patient, empathetic and respectful approach, with an understanding of safeguarding and dignity. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. Why Work with The Supply Register?
