Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the business and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function across multiple entities.This is a varied, hands-on position offering exposure to management reporting, costing, financial analysis and month-end accounting activities.Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
• Supporting and managing month-end close activities
• Preparing profit and loss reports, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow analysis
• Supporting inventory, costing and work-in-progress reporting
• Assisting with VAT returns and compliance requirements
• Supporting payroll processes and payroll-related reporting
• Completing reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Providing support across transactional finance activities where required
• Assisting with reporting across multiple entities within the group
• Supporting process improvements and finance projects as the business continues to grow

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Management Accountant or similar finance position
• Strong month-end and management accounts experience
• Good understanding of reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment would be advantageous
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

What you'll get in return

• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
