Reed FE are seeking experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants to join a 16+ Education establishment. This role offers an immediate start and is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities in a dynamic educational setting.

SEND Learning Support Assistant

• Annual Salary: £16- £18 per hour
• Location: North London
• Job Type: Full-time

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
• Assist in the development of social skills and independence in learning.
• Monitor and support the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
• Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience supporting young people with ADHD, Autism, PMLD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour or Personal care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, understanding, and a genuine passion for helping students with additional needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Strong IT skills for record keeping
