Operational/MHE Trainer

Pay Rate: £27,907 - £29,444.87 Grade: RCS O Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Working 4 on, 4 off - 6:30pm-6:30am Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Operational/MHE Trainer to join our operation, helping to develop our colleagues, promote safe working practices, and ensure the highest standards of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation across the site.

A typical day may involve:

• Delivering MHE training on a range of equipment including Reach Truck, Counterbalance, PPT, LLOP and other site-specific equipment
• Conducting refresher training, familiarisation training, and conversion courses
• Assessing operator competency and maintaining accurate training records
• Supporting site compliance through regular audits and observations
• Investigating MHE-related incidents and identifying training requirements
• Coaching and developing colleagues to improve performance and safety standards
• Supporting site inductions and other operational training activities when required

This role would suit people who:

• Previous experience delivering MHE training within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Accredited MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and health & safety requirements
• Experience training on Reach Truck and Counterbalance equipment as a minimum
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
