Your new company

Our client is an established Glasgow-based organisation offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis. You'll work 22.5 hours across three days, with a flexible hybrid arrangement of one day in the office and two days from home. The organisation is currently developing its payroll processes, making this a great opportunity to join during a period of positive change and contribute ideas along the way.

Your new role

As Payroll Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll across UK and Ireland employees. Working as part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for a varied workload including:

  • Processing payroll across multiple pay cycles
  • Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
  • Supporting pension administration and auto-enrolment
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and completing regular checks
  • Supporting year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds and HMRC submissions
  • Handling payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Supporting payroll reporting and data analysis
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing payroll processes
  • Assisting with system and process changes as the payroll function continues to develop

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have previous experience working within a busy payroll environment and be confident managing detailed payroll information accurately.

You will also have:

  • Previous payroll administration experience
  • Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence working across Excel, including formulas and lookups
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive approach and willingness to improve processes

What you'll get in return

You will receive a flexible working arrangement of three days per week (22.5 hours), with one office-based day and two days working from home. This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation, develop your payroll experience and play a part in improving existing processes.
