Ever wondered how a beautiful interior comes together? From a one-of-a-kind antique find to statement lighting, bespoke furniture and beautifully crafted materials, there's a lot that happens behind the scenes to turn a design vision into reality. We're looking for a
Procurement Assistant to join a creative, design-led interiors and architecture business, helping source, order and coordinate the pieces that make exceptional spaces truly special.
If you're organised, commercially minded, love keeping things running smoothly and get a buzz from finding the right product at the right price, this could be a brilliant next step.
What's the role all about?
You'll work closely with designers, architects, suppliers and project teams, making sure the right products and materials are sourced, ordered and delivered where they need to be, when they need to be there.
No two days will be quite the same. One day you might be comparing supplier quotes; the next, tracking a bespoke furniture order, chasing a delivery or helping resolve an unexpected issue before it affects a project.
You'll be right at the heart of the action, learning how exciting interior design and build projects move from the initial concept through to the finished space.
What you'll be getting stuck into - Finding the good stuff: Research suppliers, makers, manufacturers and showrooms for furniture, lighting, fabrics, flooring, stone, joinery and other materials.
- Getting the best deal: Request and compare quotations, check lead times and pricing, and help keep purchases within project budgets.
- Making the details count: Support the design team with product schedules, specifications, quantities, dimensions, finishes and product codes.
- Keeping orders on track: Raise purchase orders, confirm details with suppliers and follow every order through to delivery.
- Juggling the moving parts: Maintain trackers, chase updates, spot potential delays and flag problems before they become bigger headaches.
- Keeping an eye on the numbers: Check quotations, purchase orders and invoices, record payments and help keep project costs accurate.
- Making deliveries happen: Coordinate delivery dates with suppliers and site teams, check incoming goods, and help sort out any damage, shortages or returns.
- Keeping everything organised: Maintain supplier records, trade accounts, price lists and a well-organised sample and materials library.
You don't need to have spent your entire career in interiors. We're interested in people who have the right foundations, a proactive attitude and the enthusiasm to learn.
You might have 1–2 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics or project administration. Experience in an interiors, architecture, construction or design environment would be great, but it's not essential.
You'll also bring: - Excellent organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Confidence communicating with suppliers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and an appreciation for keeping records accurate.
- The ability to juggle multiple orders, priorities and deadlines without losing sight of the details.
- Commercial common sense when it comes to prices, quotations, lead times and budgets.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach — you don't just spot a problem; you help sort it out.
- The confidence to ask questions, chase answers and flag issues early.
Why this could be a great moveYou'll be joining a close-knit, creative business where craftsmanship, considered design and attention to detail genuinely matter.
You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of design and build projects, work alongside talented creative professionals and develop your procurement skills in an environment where the products you source have a real impact on the finished result.
It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting things right and wants to build a career at the intersection of procurement, design and project delivery.
