HGV Class 2 Driver – Burton upon Trent – £16.25 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.25 per hour, a guaranteed minimum of eight hours' pay per shift, Monday-to-Friday working with no weekends, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 01:30 and 04:30
• Minimum of eight hours' pay per shift
• No weekend work

Rates of Pay

• £16.25 per hour
• Guaranteed minimum of eight hours' pay per shift
• Weekly pay
• Bank holidays paid at the standard hourly rate when worked

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Completing between two and five deliveries per day
• Delivering roller cages and totes
• Operating a tail lift safely
• Assisting with handballing when required
• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Completing all necessary delivery paperwork

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of 12 months' previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
• A valid UK Category C driving licence
• A valid Driver CPC card
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major driving endorsement codes
• To be comfortable with early morning start times
• A reliable and professional approach to work

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience completing multi-drop deliveries
• Experience operating tail lifts
• Experience handling roller cages and totes

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
