Site Fitter and Fabricator We are recruiting for a Skilled Site Fitter & Fabricator to work for our client who are located in Batley, West Yorkshire. Job Summary: To ensure onsite works are carried out efficiently and effectively to meet the client’s requirements. With a practical knowledge and experience of Mild & Stainless Steel Fabrication particularly in architectural staircases and balustrade. THE DUTIES OF A SITE FITTER: * Experience & knowledge in fabricating as well as fitting secondary steelwork & architectural metalwork. (Stairs, balustrading, handrails & glass panels) * Maintain high standards throughout the project to ensure a quality finish. * Carry out work in accordance to site pack instructions & information, including; Rams, Drawings, Parts List, Bolt List & hired equipment. Make relevant checks of all information. * Work to set targets and deadlines given by Site Manager to ensure project is completed on time. * Complete any paperwork from the van file on a weekly/monthly basis or as necessary reporting any issues. * Working to the highest standards of Health and Safety * Wear the correct PPE at all times as per RAMS * Reporting and filing of accidents * Reporting machine and equipment failures * Read and understand engineering drawings * Installation of general fabrications ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: * Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Fabrication/Welding role * Knowledge of the Construction Steel Industry * Excellent communication skills * Full UK Driving Licence * CSCS /PASMA/IPAF is a must THE HOURS: 39 hours a week Monday-Thursday 7.30am -4.30pm / Friday 7.30am-2pm THE PAY: You will earn an hourly rate depending on experience of £17/£18 There will be an additional over night stay allowance provided if required Questech Recruitment is a specialist engineering support within the Mechanical & Engineering industry, our focus is to support many clients within the M&E Sectors.
