AI Solutions Engineer - Sheffield Hybrid - £55,000-60,000 (Depending on experience)
Sheffield (Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days working from home)
Our client, a UK tech business leading the way in their market, is putting artificial intelligence at the centre of how it operates, and it needs a developer who can turn that ambition into everyday reality. You will act as the link between the technical team and the wider business, creating AI-led tools that cut out wasted effort and produce results that can be clearly demonstrated.
Please note this is a practical, build-focused position and not an academic or research one. You will spend your time with colleagues from different departments, learning how their days work, pinpointing where things drag, and delivering working tools quickly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, create and release AI-powered solutions that help teams get more done in less time
- Develop apps/workflow automations/integrations/Ai assisted offerings that respond to genuine day-to-day needs
- Speak with internal customers to understand what they need, then deliver it in a usable form
- Spot time-consuming manual routines and replace them with streamlined, automated alternatives
- Weave AI features into the systems/processes that the business already relies on
- Track how your solutions perform, gather evidence of the benefit and keep improving them
- Coach and support colleagues so they feel comfortable using new AI tools responsibly
- Keep every deliverable in line with data protection, risk and compliance expectations
- Partner with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds to build enthusiasm and secure lasting value
What They're Looking For
- A track record of producing software, integrations, automations or similar technical products
- Familiarity with modern AI, including generative language models, or with workflow automation tooling
- Coding ability in at least one language, for example Python, JavaScript, PHP or similar
- A knack for turning loosely defined business problems into sensible technical answers
- Clear, confident communication with colleagues from junior team members to senior leaders
- A self-starting attitude and a preference for shipping useful work early rather than waiting for perfection
- Level-headed judgement when it comes to technology choices, risk and solving problems
Why Apply
You would help determine how AI takes root across an expanding, tech-driven organisation, with room to try new ideas, ship real products and watch them make a visible difference to both staff and clients.
If this sounds like the right step for you, apply now for immediate consideration.
