Private Client Tax Manager

£68,000 to £78,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

Full ownership of a high quality private client portfolio, with a team behind your progression. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in London is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager.

The work is technically rich across high net worth individuals, trusts and estates, with advisory sitting alongside compliance and close partner involvement on the more complex matters. The tax team is collaborative and the practice rewards both technical ability and commercial awareness, with a clear route to Senior Manager. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of HNW individuals, trusts and estates
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment returns and overseeing compliance
• Keeping client relationships strong as their trusted contact
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team
• Dealing with HMRC on enquiries and investigations

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Experience managing a HNW portfolio with technical accuracy
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident with clients, detail focused, and able to juggle competing deadlines
