Logistics Operative

Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour
Hours: 37hrs per week

We are recruiting for a skilled Logistics Operative to support City Highways in Leicester with a range of highway maintenance and development activities. This is a hands-on role requiring experience in traffic management and highway operations. You will play a key part in ensuring roadworks and highway projects are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain traffic management measures on highway projects.
• Prepare, transport, and install roadwork safety signage and barriers.
• Support highway maintenance and development activities.
• Undertake associated construction tasks, including erection of posts, backfilling works, and highway reinstatement
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as required as part of the role.

Essential Requirements

• Experience implementing and maintaining traffic management measures within a highway environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence.
• Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• NRSWA Streetworks Ticket
• CSCS Card/Accreditation
• LANTRA Traffic Management Qualification or similar relevant certification
