We are recruiting for a temporary Assistant Accountant to join a confidential property business operating across the construction and development sector. Based remotely, this assignment will support the financial administration of approximately 10 active companies. The company’s size, culture, ambitions and wider benefits package have not been disclosed, although the role offers varied exposure across a multi-entity finance function. What will the Assistant Accountant role involve? Maintaining accurate financial records across a portfolio of construction and development companies Completing bank, supplier and wider balance sheet reconciliations Supporting the preparation of monthly VAT and CIS returns Producing sales and timesheet reports, alongside processing approved payments Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with HMRC and relevant third parties when required Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy: Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts-focused position Comfortable managing finance activities across multiple entities or business areas Familiarity with VAT, CIS, reconciliations and general ledger processes Organised, accurate and able to manage varied priorities during a short-term assignment Confident communicating with internal and external contacts, including HMRC Additional benefits and information for the role of Assistant Accountant: Fully remote working arrangement Temporary assignment expected to last approximately four weeks Opportunity to work across businesses within the construction and development sector Salary will be dependent on experience CMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment business in relation to this role.
