A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Draughtsman / CAD Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience using Autodesk Inventor who enjoys producing high-quality manufacturing drawings and supporting products from design through to manufacture.

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, assemblies and Bills of Materials whilst providing technical support to manufacturing and production teams.

The Role

• Producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Creating and modifying 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
• Generating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Updating existing designs and implementing engineering changes
• Supporting production and manufacturing teams with technical queries
• Maintaining accurate drawing and document control
• Working closely with engineers, production and purchasing departments

The Person

• Experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, Design Draughtsman, CAD Technician, CAD Designer or similar
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor
• Able to produce manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs
• A background within manufacturing, fabrication, sheet metal, machinery or mechanical engineering environments would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a fast-paced engineering team

Desirable Experience

• Sheet metal or fabrication design
• Vault, PDM or drawing control systems
• Mechanical assemblies and production documentation
• Exposure to manufacturing or production engineering environments
