Upholsterer Location: Basildon Salary: £41,500 per annum (£18.80 per hour) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm + overtime The Opportunity A leading fit-out company based in Basildon is looking for an experienced Upholsterer / Re-upholsterer to join its established team in a state-of-the-art facility.  Working on prestigious projects for some of London’s biggest names, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with knowledge of modern and traditional upholstery techniques. Death-in-service benefit (4x annual salary). Simplyhealth cash plan after probation. Key Responsibilities Strip, repair and prepare furniture for re-upholstery. Measure, template and cut fabrics and leather. Prepare frames, shape foam and fit springs and webbing. Apply piping, buttons, decorative studs and finishing details. Read and follow technical drawings and production specifications. Maintain high-quality standards and report production issues. Support colleagues and assist with occasional site installations. Skills & Experience Previous upholstery or re-upholstery experience. Knowledge of modern and traditional techniques. City & Guilds qualification or equivalent preferred. Experience working with fabrics, leather and furniture frames. Ability to interpret technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
