Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for our long standing client for the appointment of an Instrument Technician to join their growing team in Middlesbrough. This is a day shift position, working Monday to Friday, with over time readily available. This role would suit someone who has previous expeirence in a similar role and is looking to work for a business where they can grow and progess their career. Job Description * Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules. * Respond to breakdowns and urgent furnace related issues during production * Analyse recurring instrument failures and recommend corrective actions. * Maintain calibration records, loop diagrams and maintenance logs * Update instrumentation drawings and control loop documentation. * Assist with audits related to safety, quality and environmental compliance. * Test and verify Flame Igniters, Pressure Switches, Limit Switches and Emergency Shutdown Systems. Skills Required * Strong understanding of Industrial Instrumentation and Control Loops * Knowledge of Combustion Systems and Furnace Operation * Proficient in Calibration and Fault Diagnosis * Ability to read PIDs, Loop Diagrams, and Wiring Drawings * Strong Safety Awareness in high temperature and gas fired environments. * Good Communication and Teamwork Skills
