Assistant HR Manager (12 Month FTC)

Milton Keynes | £45,000 - £50,000 DOE | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

We're partnering with a well-established professional services organisation in Milton Keynes to recruit an Assistant HR Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Working closely with managers, directors and senior leaders, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience while supporting strategic HR initiatives across the business.

The Role

As Assistant HR Manager, you'll provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR support across a variety of people matters, helping leaders navigate challenges while promoting best practice and a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with managers and senior stakeholders to provide HR advice and guidance.
• Managing and supporting employee relations cases from start to finish.
• Delivering regional people initiatives aligned to wider business objectives.
• Leading or contributing to HR projects that enhance employee experience.
• Building strong relationships across multiple teams and locations.
• Coaching and developing a Trainee HR Advisor.
• Supporting leadership teams with people planning and local priorities.
• Using HR data and insights to identify trends and support decision-making.

About You

We're looking for a confident and proactive HR professional who enjoys building relationships and influencing positive outcomes.

You'll likely have:

• Experience in a HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or Assistant HR Manager role.
• Strong employee relations knowledge and case management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• CIPD qualification, or working towards it, would be advantageous.
