Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Locum Location: Gloucester, UK Job Type: Locum Payment: PAYE Only Visa Sponsorship: Not Available Driving: Drivers Preferred Job Overview We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) for locum opportunities in Gloucester. The successful candidates will provide high-quality mental health nursing care, supporting individuals with a range of mental health conditions, autism and additional support needs. You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care while promoting dignity, independence and emotional wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised mental health care plans. Provide nursing care and emotional support to individuals with mental health needs. Administer medication safely in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Monitor patients' mental and physical health and identify changes in their condition. Maintain accurate nursing records and clinical documentation. Support individuals experiencing mental health crises and challenging behaviours. Undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate risk-management strategies. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients and families. Promote safeguarding, dignity, independence and patient choice. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, professional standards and safeguarding procedures. Essential Requirements Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). Minimum 6 months' relevant UK experience as a Mental Health Nurse. Valid BILD-accredited PMVA certificate completed within the last 12 months. Good knowledge of mental health nursing practices and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical assessment, documentation and medication-management skills. A compassionate, professional and patient-centred approach. Desirable Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
