About the Role As a Primary SEN Tutor in Gateshead, you will deliver one-to-one tuition to primary-aged pupils who are not accessing full-time education or who require additional educational support. Many learners have experienced disrupted education and may struggle with confidence, emotional regulation, anxiety, or engagement in the classroom. You will provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, helping children rebuild trust in education, develop essential literacy and numeracy skills, and make progress at their own pace. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging Maths and English tuition tailored to primary-aged pupils. Plan and deliver individualised lessons to address learning gaps and develop core literacy and numeracy skills. Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional learning needs. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles, abilities, and emotional needs. Build positive relationships to improve engagement, confidence, and motivation. Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, attendance, and engagement. Complete regular progress reports and provide feedback to parents, carers, and the Prospero Teaching team.Role Details Location: Gateshead.
