Labourer Required - Wakefield

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Labourer to join a busy construction site in Wakefield. This is a hands-on role supporting the Site Manager and wider site team to ensure the project runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working, and experienced working within a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Site cleaning and general housekeeping duties
• Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
• Clearing rubble and waste from work areas
• Assisting the Site Manager with day-to-day site activities
• Supporting trades and subcontractors as required
• Acting as a Banksman for plant and digger operations when required
• Ensuring site safety standards are maintained at all times

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
• Previous experience working as a Labourer on construction sites
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
• Full PPE required:
  • Safety Boots
  • Hi-Vis Vest
  • Hard Hat

Health & Safety

A full site induction will be provided on your first day, covering all relevant site health and safety procedures, welfare facilities, emergency arrangements, and fire evacuation processes.
