We are recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our Client in their established and growing Accountancy Practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, commercially minded accountant to take ownership of a substantial client portfolio, work closely with senior management and benefit from a genuine long-term pathway to partnership.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Taking full ownership of a varied client portfolio and acting as the primary point of contact
• Preparing, reviewing and signing off statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and providing proactive tax planning advice
• Leading and assisting with audit assignments where required
• Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior and semi-senior members of the team
• Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities to add value for clients
• Supporting senior management with advisory work and special projects
• Contributing to business development, client acquisition and retention
• Attending client meetings and building strong, long-term professional relationships

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Significant post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, corporation tax and personal tax
• Experience managing a varied client portfolio
• Previous experience reviewing and overseeing the work of junior staff
• Excellent client management and communication skills
• Confident and professional, with the ability to build trusted client relationships
• Experience using accountancy practice software
• A commercially minded and proactive approach to client service
• Ambition to progress into a senior leadership or partnership position

Benefits on Offer:

• £45,000 – £55,000 salary, depending on experience
