An independent accountancy firm in Harrogate is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some payroll experience who is looking to develop their payroll experience. Applicants from both industry and practice backgrounds will be considered, with full training and ongoing support provided.

Responsibilities will include:

• Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
• Calculating statutory payments, including SSP, SMP and SPP.
• Processing starters, leavers and payroll amendments.
• Preparing and submitting RTI returns to HMRC.
• Assisting with pension submissions and auto-enrolment.
• Responding to client payroll queries.

The successful candidate will have:

• Payroll experience, gained in either industry or practice.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop their payroll knowledge.
• A friendly, approachable manner and good communication skills.
