Interim Chief Accountant / Corporate Finance Manager - West-Midlands based local authority

Circa £650 inside IR35

Initial 6 month interim contract

Hybrid working

The first couple of weeks will need to be on site in the west midlands probably for at least 4 days each week – so that they can understand what is going and to meet all the relevant people

After that it will be 2 or 3 days – depending on business needs, they may need to attend meetings throughout the County – and must be prepared to accommodate this

Essential Requirements;

• Must be a fully qualified accountant and be basically, a hands-on technical accountant that will also have all the responsibility for all corporate finance items
• Must be able to produce statement of accounts and be hands on - no managing people who do it
• Must have sufficient and recent experience in District and Borough Councils
• This is not a ‘just manage’ – it’s very many hands on role

Including responsibility for and possibly doing:-

• Production of the statement of accounts
• External Audit
• VAT
• CIS returns
• Fixed Asset Register
• Accounts Payable
• Treasury Management and Banking
• Cash Flow
• Delta returns
• WGA
