Parts Advisor

• Annual Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
• Location: Hertfordshire
• Job Type: Full-time Mondays to Thursdays 8am to 5pm / Fridays 8am to 4pm with Saturday mornings 8am to 12pm on a rota basis (overtime paid for this)

We are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our established team. This role is integral to providing high-quality customer service and support in the dispatch and handling of machinery parts’ enquiries from both customers and technicians. We need someone who brings a high level of energy and a willingness to deliver an outstanding service.

The Role:

• Assist with the day-to-day queries regarding parts.
• Efficiently dispatch and manage customer parts orders.
• Help with enquiries relating to the products/services both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all products sold to provide accurate information and full support to customers.
• Working within a customer service retail environment, potentially managing showroom duties and ensuring a professional customer experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, capable of dealing diplomatically with customers and colleagues in a polite and professional manner.
• Good knowledge of customer service within a “parts” background advantageous.
• Quick learner – able to understand the products sold by the company swiftly.
• Background in machinery, motor or trade counter sales from a DIY wholesaler is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and manage pressure during peak periods.
• PC literate.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills - attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers as handling cash and card payments.
• Motivated by sales targets and eager to exceed results.
