About Us

Join a friendly, established property team in Hertfordshire where your day-to-day work makes a real difference to our tenants.

Brickmort Property Rentals Ltd manages a portfolio of rental properties across Hertfordshire and beyond, and we're looking for an organised, personable Rental & Maintenance Office Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied, people-facing office work and wants to build a career in property management.

The Role

You'll be the first point of contact for tenants and contractors, keeping our rental operations and property maintenance running smoothly day to day. No two days are the same — one moment you might be scheduling a boiler repair, the next you're updating a tenancy file or answering a call from a prospective renter.

This is a split-location role between our Ware and Cuffley offices, so the successful applicant will need to be available to work at either location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phone, email, and in-person enquiries from tenants, landlords, and contractors
  • Log, prioritise, and track maintenance requests through to completion
  • Schedule and coordinate contractors and tradespeople for repairs and inspections
  • Maintain accurate tenancy records, files, and databases
  • Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs, including inventory checks
  • Chase up outstanding invoices, work orders, and paperwork
  • Support the wider team with general administrative duties
  • Help ensure properties meet safety and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
  • Must have hands-on experience using Alto and Fixflo
  • Previous experience in an office administration, lettings, or customer service role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident, friendly communicator — comfortable on the phone and in person
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm when priorities shift
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / general office software
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Full UK driving licence preferred, as occasional property visits are required
  • Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
  • Free parking
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Opportunities to progress your career within property management
  • A friendly, supportive team environment
  • Regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm) with occasional 4pm finishes

Closing date: 3 December 2026
