Description

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Support in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure effective financial management.
• Support ad hoc financial tasks as required by the department.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role within the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Excel.
• An eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• A recognised accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial.

Job Offer

• Salary between £35,000 and £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
