Key Responsibilities as a Behavioural Support Assistant

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, independence, and social development.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored behaviour support plans.
• Build positive relationships with students through patience, encouragement, and consistent guidance.
• Help students manage challenging situations using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
