Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on a 15-month contract , located in Scotland Role Overview We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a long-term substation project in Scotland. The successful candidates will have previous substation experience, with a strong background in mechanical installation and earthing works. Key Responsibilities * Carry out mechanical installation and fitting works within a substation environment. * Undertake earthing and bonding installation in accordance with project requirements. * Install and assemble mechanical equipment and associated components. * Work from drawings, specifications and project documentation. * Ensure all works are completed safely and to the required quality standards. * Work effectively as part of a site-based construction team. * Follow all site health, safety and Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter. * Previous substation experience – essential. * Previous earthing experience – essential. * Valid CSCS card – essential. * Strong understanding of mechanical installation within a power/substation environment. * Ability to work safely and effectively within a site team. Desirable * PASMA certification. * CPCS tickets. * Additional relevant plant or lifting qualifications. * Experience working on high-voltage substation projects.
