HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Liverpool – £19.00 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This is an excellent opportunity offering £19.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday night shifts, guaranteed minimum shift pay, weekly pay and ongoing work with an established logistics business.

£19.00 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | 17:00 Starts | Approx. 11-Hour Shifts | Guaranteed Minimum Shift Pay | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or HGV Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Night shifts starting at 17:00
• Three runs to Leyland and return
• Approximately 11-hour shifts
• Ongoing work available

Rates of Pay

• £19.00 per hour
• Guaranteed minimum shift pay
• Weekly pay
• Holiday pay accrued separately

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking, drop and swap duties
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours and road transport regulations

Essential Skills

• Minimum of three months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience with trunking and drop and swap operations
• Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles

• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
