Warehouse Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee a small team supporting logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with internal procedures and safety rules. This role involves defining operational procedures, optimising processes, training staff, leading the teams effectively to achieve management-set objectives.

Day-to-day duties of the role:

• Security Management: Enforce safety and traffic rules within the warehouse, ensure compliance by teams and external companies, and manage hazardous waste according to established procedures.
• Team Management: Handle daily administrative tasks for personnel, recruit and train new staff, conduct briefings and reviews, and ensure company values are upheld within the team.
• Activity Supervision and Optimisation: Analyse and optimise physical and information flows, manage inventory accuracy, and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Inventory Management: Conduct daily and periodic inventories, oversee stock replenishment, and ensure inventory accuracy through supervision and necessary adjustments.
• Malfunction Management: Handle supplier claims and manage defective products.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in logistics/warehouse management, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of internal logistics procedures and storage rules, especially for hazardous materials.
• Experience with ADR rules (transport of dangerous goods) and inventory management.
• Forklift operation certification preferably Counterbalance and Bendi
• Strong leadership skills to unite and lead teams towards common goals.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively manage resources and activities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Diplomatic communication skills to tactfully handle various situations.
• Dynamic and energetic approach to work, with a strong sense of responsibility.
