Shift Maintenance Engineer Leeds – LS12 £39,275 basic + Overtime | OTE £42,000+ 8-Hour Shifts | Monday to Friday | Permanent Looking for a maintenance role with 8-hour shifts rather than 12-hour days? We’re recruiting a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds. This is a permanent opportunity offering a £39,275 basic salary, regular overtime opportunities and an OTE of £42,000+. You'll join an established engineering team carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing site. The Shift Pattern You'll work a rotating 3-shift pattern across Monday to Friday, working 8-hour shifts: * Mornings: 06:15 – 14:15 * Afternoons: 14:15 – 22:15 * Nights: 22:15 – 06:15 * 8-hour shifts * Monday to Friday * Overtime available What’s On Offer? £39,275 basic salary OTE £42,000+ Overtime available 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday shift pattern 21 days holiday + bank holidays Pension scheme Ongoing training and development Permanent, stable position Opportunity to develop within an established engineering team What You'll Be Doing As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production machinery running efficiently, including: * Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) * Reactive maintenance and breakdown response * Electrical and mechanical fault finding * Repairing and maintaining production machinery * Working with motors, sensors and control systems * Mechanical maintenance involving bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics * Recording maintenance activity through CMMS * Supporting engineering improvements and projects * Working with production teams to reduce downtime What We're Looking For We'd like to hear from engineers with experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment. You could currently be working as a: Shift Engineer | Maintenance Engineer | Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer | Multi Skilled Engineer | Electrical Maintenance Engineer | Mechanical Maintenance Engineer | Engineering Technician | Maintenance Technician Ideally, you'll have: * Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience * Strong fault-finding ability * Experience maintaining production or manufacturing equipment * An electrical or mechanical engineering qualification/apprenticeship * Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance * Ability to read engineering drawings or electrical schematics * A practical, hands-on approach to engineering You don't need to be purely electrically or mechanically biased – we're interested in engineers who are comfortable working across both disciplines.
