Credit Controller

Salary: Circa £28,000 FTE

Hoot Recruit is recruiting on behalf of an established business looking for a Credit Controller to join its finance team.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around credit control, enjoys dealing with customers and is confident chasing payments while maintaining good working relationships.

You'll be joining an experienced team, working alongside an existing Credit Controller who will be on hand to provide guidance and support as they move into another position within the business.

What you'll be doing

• Managing outstanding customer payments
• Contacting customers by phone and email to chase overdue invoices
• Maintaining accurate records of payments and outstanding balances
• Resolving invoice and payment queries
• Building positive relationships with customers
• Reconciling customer accounts
• Working closely with the wider finance team to keep debtor balances under control

What we're looking for

• Previous credit control experience is essential
• Confident and professional telephone manner
• Comfortable having conversations about overdue payments
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Friendly, approachable and proactive attitude
