Assistant Accountant

Reed Accountancy are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing business seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a varied role offering exposure across purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank reconciliations and month-end accounting. Ideal for an AAT qualified or part-qualified finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Purchase and sales ledger processing

· Supplier statement and bank reconciliations

· Credit control and aged debt reporting

· Payment runs and cashbook management

· VAT reporting support

· Accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

· Expenses processing and financial reporting

· Supporting month-end and audit activities

About You

· AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience

· Previous experience within an accounts or finance role

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping

· Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP

· Good Excel skills and attention to detail

· Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively

· Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
