  • Lead, manage and develop the facilities team, providing effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Coordinate the deployment of Estates staff through the cross-College duty rota, ensuring resources meet operational requirements.
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance, minor projects and refurbishment works, supporting the delivery of larger capital projects.
  • Oversee the operation of the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring faults and performance issues are identified and addressed.
  • Manage the Estates Helpdesk, monitoring requests against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee facilities contractors, monitoring performance, service standards, contractual obligations and value for money.
  • Coordinate estates compliance activities, including inspections, testing, contractor visits, record keeping and remedial actions.
  • Maintain accurate facilities asset registers, maintenance records and associated documentation.
  • Support the management of health and safety incidents, emergencies and business continuity arrangements.
  • Implement and monitor initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce water consumption and enhance environmental performance.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and administration of the College vehicle fleet, including servicing, repairs and authorised use.
  • Procure facilities-related products and services in accordance with College procedures and delegated authority.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate estates performance information, data and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with College staff, contractors, consultants, tenants and external stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of College facilities.
