Senior Linux & Python Infrastructure Engineer

Up to £550pd (Inside IR35)
6-month contract
Glasgow / 3 days onsite

My client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong Linux and Python expertise to support the development, integration and maintenance of large-scale enterprise infrastructure platforms. The role combines infrastructure engineering, automation, security remediation and storage technologies.

Key Skills

• Strong Linux engineering and administration experience
• Excellent Python development skills
• Infrastructure integration and troubleshooting
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Security remediation and system hardening
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments

Nice to Haves

• Perl
• SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS or Object Storage
• Ansible, SaltStack or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
• VMware / virtualisation technologies
• Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker
• Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• Vulnerability management and security tooling
• Scale-out storage and high-availability solutions
