SF Partners is recruiting a Finance Director for an established business operating across a complex, multi-entity environment.

This is a senior finance leadership appointment, working across two sites, with responsibility for leading the finance function, strengthening financial reporting and controls, and supporting the wider commercial performance of the business.

We're looking for somebody who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset. Somebody who understands what good looks like from a financial control perspective, but can equally challenge the business, improve processes and help drive better decisions.

The role will include:

• Leading and developing the finance team, ensuring clear accountability and high standards.
• Taking ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, controls and governance.
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital.
• Working closely with operational and commercial leaders to improve performance and profitability.
• Improving financial systems, reporting and processes.
• Supporting strategic projects, including potential acquisitions and integration.

What are we looking for?

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within manufacturing, engineering or distribution.

You'll need to be technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable operating across a complex, multi-entity business.

Experience of finance transformation, systems improvement, acquisitions or international operations would be beneficial.

This could suit an established Finance Director or an experienced Group Financial Controller looking for broader responsibility.
